GOD PRESENTS IN OUR CENTRAL

1 Kings 8:27 But surely the God will dwell on the earth? Verily, the heavens, even the heavens, can not contain you, not even the house where I have set up.

1 Kings 8:27 (UKJV) But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens can not contain you; How much less house that I have built?

One of David's longings after becoming king for Israel was to build the Temple for God. But God says he is not the one who built the temple, but his offspring even if the offspring live faithfully and do the deeds before God. Although not allowed God, but David was allowed to bring to the Ark of the Covenant in Zion (2 Sam. 6: 12-15). The Ark of the covenant is very important for Israel: a symbol of God's presence and has tremendous power. Each of them fighting the ark of the covenant is always carried on the front. It has the significance of God fighting for His people. The ark of the covenant of God is present and is in the midst of His people.

David's longing was what Solomon realized after becoming king in David's place. Solomon directed the entire people of Israel to build the temple. After the construction was completed, Solomon asked the priests to remove the Ark of the Covenant and be placed in the Holy of Holies in the Temple. After that Solomon prayed to God to bless His people every one who came to plead and pray in the built Temple.

Pembangunan Bait Suci bukan hanya memenuhi kerinduan Daud semata namun dengan ditempatkannya Tabut Perjanjian di ruang maha kudus di Bait Suci ini juga adalah suatu pertanda bahwa Tuhan mau dan berkenan hadir di tengah-tengah umatNya. Allah yang Maha Tinggi, takhtanya adalah langit dan pijakan kakiNya adalah bumi mau berkenan hadir dan diam di tengah-tengah umatNya. Tuhan yang maha kuasa dan maha dahsyat mau tinggal di rumah buatan tangan manusia. Inilah ketakjuban Salomo atas rampungnya pembangunan Bait Suci dan ditempatkannya Tabut Perjanjian di ruang maha kudus.

Sahabat yang baik hati! Tuhan itu maha hadir (omni present) dan maha kuasa (omni potentia). Menjadi dasar bagi kita dimana pun kita berada, beraktifitas dan berbagai kegiatan yang kita lakukan yaitu Allah hadir. KehadiranNya bukan untuk mengawasi saja apa yang anda lakukan, namun dia hendak memelihara, melindungi dan memberikan apa yang kita butuhkan. Inilah kemahakuasaan dan kemaha hadiran Allah dalam hidup kita. Doa Salomo ketika penahbisan Bait Suci: agar Tuhan mendengar setiap doa yang disampaikan di baitNya dan memberkati setiap orang yang hadir di BaitNya.
